The police department of Osaka Prefecture, western Japan, has cracked down on a "tokuryu" loosely organised crime ring comprised of anonymous members for allegedly forcing about 130 underage girls into prostitution around the country under harsh conditions.

Police in northern Mae Hong Son province arrested a local woman on Thursday (September 12) for allegedly procuring a 13-year-old girl for paid sex with a string of men.
